prince charles - OMG

I just read this article today about Prince Charles claiming mankind will become ‘Endangered’ due to our abuse of nature.

This is true.

HOWEVER two seconds of extra internet research leads me to discover (of course)

That Prince Charles is a big fat hypocrite.

He (and his family) take regular trips abroad using private jets, multiple amounts of staff, other gas guzzling types of transport when they get there, plenty of lavish dinners using more food than necessary to sustain a person, all of the fixtures and fittings of their private jets and accommodation. This list could go on. Don’t even get me started on diamonds.

It’s kind of like Al Gore presenting the film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’. His personal energy use in his own home apparently uses more than 20 times the national average – yes the public may have exaggerated these claims BUT I am sure they start in truth. We all know it is a stone cold fact that he uses private jets, big cars and other luxury items in his lifestyle.

Any celebrity or other figure that claims to be environmental and then does things that are wildly un-environmental, is just simply a hypocrite.

In my opinion ‘offsetting’ is not an excuse for Behaving Badly. Just cos you put 6000 tons of carbon into the atmosphere, doesn’t mean ‘investing in environmentally-friendly initiatives’ suddenly sucks the carbon back out of the atmosphere – W.T.F.
