- A non-fictional book
I think this is a brilliant book for the aspiring polymer clay artist. I have a few Maureen Carlson books that I bought a few years ago to have a mess around with clay and make some cute little things.
This book is not only informative and gives step by step instructions on how to make fantasy creatures, it’s also a beautiful book in its own right. It has lots of nice colourful photographs of the finished models, sitting in situ in little fairy grottos à la the front cover (yeah two ‘the’s, whatever).
I have made some of the things in the book, and I have also adapted some of the techniques in it to make other things. I think it would take a whole load more practice to get as good as the author though!
