yeah you can only stop the people with the sword man if the castle is about 98% built already, otherwise he doesn't live long enough.
i've found that if you know you're going to get killed - if there are about a million little men attacking, just make all your archers workers. you're not going to kill them all so it's better to just try get as much of the castle built as you can.

plus, when the game is finished and they are running away - you can still shoot them! :P :P

no no you have UNLIMITED arrows!!!
the best way to go is when you have improved your aim, use as little archers as you can (you can swap archers for workers to build your castle).
in the early rounds you can just use one or two archers, and the swap them to workers until you hear footsteps.

have you got to the bit where the other people have killed all your archers and you have to fight them all with a sword?! hehe!
yea i did, but my sword man got killed in less than a minute, he is soo sad, would not take orders from me.
