amateur ’ornithologist

The last few days I have been sitting and looking out of my window.

Every day between five o’clock and 6 o’clock, two collared doves come and sit on a certain branch.

They peck each others neck for a few minutes. Then one of them takes the initiative. They consult profusely with the ‘bees’. They peck at the neck a little more. Then they fly off in their separate directions, only to reunite tomorrow...

Only some days... One of them comes a little early. They sit on the branch waiting for the other. Fretfully pining, looking up into the trees. Until the only other bird for it sits on the branch and allows itself to be pecked ;)

I like observing nature ;)
