movin’ out

So big things are afoot.

Remember about 3 years ago when I talked about us moving in to our new flat. Well, we’ve been here a while now, and although it’s an ok flat and affordable – it’s not ours. It’s costing us money in rent, we’re not allowed to change much decorations wise, it’s difficult to have pets, there’s quite a lot of reasons why it is the right time to think about moving.

So over the last few months we’ve been casually looking at houses and flats to buy instead of renting. We’ve been to see some, and mostly they’ve been a bit rubbish (for what we can afford it looked like we had to compromise on location and/or quality of house).

But... we just found a really nice little flat! It’s a part-buy type scheme – so that means we get something that’s worth quite a bit more, for an affordable price – yay!

At the time of writing, we’re at the “dotting the t’s and crossing the i’s” stage (ed. Do they need apostrophie’s? :P) i.e. we’re sorting out mortgages and solicitors etc.

It’s quite exciting! I’ll tell you more if and when we get it and move in hehe
