I remember a party not so long ago, and yet long enough ago to be considered in the past.

I had a lot of fun at that party. There was dancing and food and music and booze. It was a good party.

What I liked the most is that all of my family were there. At least enough family to call it a family party.

The next time we were all together was for a funeral.

That’s just simply not good enough.

I need someone with gumption to organise another family party for me where everyone gets together (barring death) and it’s fun and lovely and we look back on it with pride.

Will it happen? Not a chance.
